We were very blessed to have been provided with a wonderful Mini-Maestro Pocket diaper!  This diaper was a white medium pocket cloth diaper that fit our little 7 month old Matthew (at the time) who is now 10 months old and still able to fit into the cloth diaper.  These pocket diapers are sized which fit your little one's bumz according to their size (refer to the chart below).

FEATURES:

• The pocket openings have double elastics which are wide enough for almost ANY cloth diaper insert!  We have tried stuffing these diapers with Fuzzibunz, Charlie Banana, & Happy Heiny's inserts as well as the second part of a Rumparooz 6R Hemp Soaker.  We have also tried it with Baby Kanga's Hemp inserts & BumGenius microfiber inserts just to see what this diaper could pack.  
• The folding velcro tabs are better than your average tabs as these one's will not come undone in the wash.  This was one of my more favoured feature b/c there is nothing worse than having your velcro stick to other laundry in the wash (especially to your microfiber inserts in which case can cause some damage to them).  
• We were also quite impressed with the 'form fitting elastics to prevent leaks - which did do what it claimed to do - prevent leaks!  My son Matthew I believe has fairly chunky legs now, but was quite a bit slimmer at the time we started reviewing this diaper and I found we had less leaks as he filled out the diaper, but really there weren't too many leaks to begin with, which proved that the form really was fitting to your baby's legs.   

• The wide front band to adjust the height of the waist was another feature I enjoyed, as some pocket cloth diapers do not have quite the long attachment as this Minimaestro does, which helps as Matthew is outgrowing this diaper in the near future.  
• The Extensible & Waterproof outer shell is very waterproof and we found that the quality did not waver on this PUL material.  Matthew was still quite dry overnight many times and I am very excited to say this has become one of our night-time diapers at bedtime... with hemp stuffins.  

• The interior of the mini-maestro is made of the quite common micro-fleece which is super soft to the touch before we washed this diaper many many times.. - almost 3 months later and the diaper is still super soft on the inside and maintaining its' waterproof qualities on the outside :)  

 SIZING:

I do find that the MiniMaestro fits fairly generously as our son was approximately 15lbs when he began wearing the medium, he still fits nicely into it at about 23lbs and could easily last a few more months ( I think).

The INSERTS:

     MiniMaestro boasts - that their inserts are made of a combination of synthetic & natural fibers between 2 bamboo fleece latyers.  They say they absorb up to 10x their weight very quickly & retain liquids while under moderate compression.  Moreover, bamboo is environmentally friendly and as they say / research suggests, bamboo has antibacterial properties.

     I was quite impressed with how absorbent these smaller looking inserts could handle and was excited to put it to the test as soon as they arrived.  I actually had my doubts as these inserts appear (what I thought to be) too small for the diaper, but the skeptic was soon laid to rest after prepping the inserts in the wash 3 times - these little inserts can most definitely take on 10 times their weight!

I was also quite happy with the fact that the inserts (when combined with microfiber counterpart or another hemp stuffin) make quite a nice nighttime diaper as well :) 

Matthew has gone quite a few nights overnight in this diaper and still - no leaks come morning - again with a doubler, the inserts themselves are amazing, but do require additional stuffing for overnight!  Matthew's 'full-night' sleep is from about 8:30pm - 7:30/8:00am :)  A full 11-12 hours and his diaper is most definitely heavy, but he is NOT wet :)

Overall we gave this diaper an A  for general cloth diaper absorbency, style, fit, & ease of use.  My husband was even quite impressed with this diaper - and that is always a bonus!  Thank you MiniMaestro for providing us with a great diaper!  We will definitely be consulting with them in the new year for perhaps building a stash for our own customers at www.naturebumz.com :)
